On the morning of 25 March, explosions were heard in Zhytomyr. Mayor Serhiy Sukhomlyn urged residents not to ignore the air raid and use shelters.
He published the relevant appeal on his Facebook page.
"If it seems that they have forgotten about us, it is not true. A few hours ago, they struck at us. I will not say where it was, but it's war, and we see that people are a little relaxed. Please do not ignore." he remarked.
On 8 March, Russia launched an airstrike on a dormitory in Zhytomyr. One person was killed, and two others were injured. Civilians lived in the dormitory.
