Active combat is ongoing in the region of Sumy; the enemy bombed the town Okhtyrka again, announced the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Dmytro Zhyvytskyy, in a video address.
“The situation remains tense. The combat is ongoing in the areas of Konotop, Okhtyrka, and Sumy. Unfortunately, there is constant shelling of the suburbs and the city of Sumy. During the day, there was a bombing of Okhtyrka town, an enormous explosion again, a bomb, and significant damage. Unfortunately, Okhtyrka is suffering heavy losses, “ said the head of the RMA.
He also said that during the combat in Trostyanets, a gas pipeline was damaged, there is a risk of more people having their gas supply cut off. Some people remain without electricity and communications. Earlier, Dmytro Zhyvytskyy called Trostyanets “the hottest spot” of the Sumy region.
