US President Joe Biden met with Ukrainian refugees and humanitarian aid workers in Warsaw at the PGE Narodowy Stadium, as reported by CNN.
During the visit, journalists asked Biden about his views on Putin now when he met with Ukrainian refugees at the Narodowy Stadium. Biden replied sharply - "He's a butcher."
"Each one of those children said something to the effect of, ‘Say a prayer for my dad or grandfather or my brother who is out there fighting”, - Biden told reporters after his conversations with the refugees at the stadium. He continued, “And I remember what it's like when your loved ones are in a combat zone. Every morning you wake up and wonder. You just wonder. And you pray that you will not be called (with a report of death. - LB.ua)".
Earlier, Joe Biden called Vladimir Putin a "war criminal" as well as "a murderous dictator, a pure thug who is waging an immoral war against the people of Ukraine."
According to the UN Refugee Agency, more than 3.5 million refugees have fled Ukraine. Poland alone welcomes more than two million refugees from Ukraine.
