The Estonian government has handed over a consignment of lethal weapons to Ukraine to defend itself against the russian invasion.
The Embassy of Estonia reported this.
It is said that Ukraine received anti-tank missiles, howitzers, anti-tank mines, recoilless anti-tank guns, automatic weapons, ammunition, disposable shoulder-fired rocket launcher, and hand grenades.
In addition, Estonian businessmen, in cooperation with government agencies and the Armed Forces of Estonia, handed over helmets, bulletproof vests, communications equipment, drones, night vision devices, laser rangefinders, medical supplies, and chemical protection clothing to the Ukrainian military.
"For Ukraine to remain free, more of those are needed. Therefore, Estonia addressed all European countries asking to provide Ukraine with the necessary weapons, military assistance, humanitarian aid, political support, strengthen sanctions against russia and stop directly or indirectly supporting russia's economy," - the statement said.
Earlier the USA also reported providing Ukraine with the additional weapon shipment worth $ 300 million.
