The Head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration (RSA) Vitaliy Kim claimed he hadn't seen any signs of the occupiers' intentions to capture Mykolaiv so far.
Kim told about that in the interview for RBK-Ukraine.
"About the [russians' – tr.] intentions to capture Mykolaiv – no, I don't see that," – he said.
At the same time he added that the shelling the occupiers carried out might be aimed at intimidating people as well as covering the invaders' military activity to relocate their equipment.
Kim also added that he didn't see the threat of the occupiers' break through the city of Voznesensk toward Odesa.
Kim also commented on the situation in the city of Snihurivka which is still occupied by russians.
"There are occupiers in Snihurivka. We do not control the situation. There's no humanitarian crisis there. By 7 a.m. yesterday they closed the road to Snihurivka for civilians. There used to be a possibility to deliver cargoes there as well as to Kherson. As of today, they force those cargoes to go back," – the head of RSA added.
Russian troops bombed a railway station in Mykolaiv on 7 April. Its operations have been halted.
Also, russians hit Mykolaiv with cluster munitions the same week. As a result of the shelling on 5 April 10 people were killed, and more than 60 were injured.
