The defenders of Mariupol called on the civilized world to go out to squares starting from tomorrow bearing blue-and-yellow flags in support of Ukraine.
This call was voiced by Sviatoslav Palamar, deputy commander of the Azov Regiment.
“I request you to unite. I address the entire world and those who are brave enough to act. Go out on the streets, raise blue-and-yellow flags. Call on politicians to act decisively to free Mariupol, Kherson, Izium, and other cities of Ukraine from captivity, the cities and towns which have become hostages of this war,” he called.
Palamar added that they believe in the military and political leadership of Ukraine and continue fighting for Ukrainian Mariupol.
Today, the Chief Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyy announced that the defense of Mariupol is ongoing, everything possible and impossible is being done to save the lives of the personnel and civilians in all directions. He said that the communication with the units of defense forces heroically holding the city is regular and is being maintained.
On 10 April, Sviatoslav Palamar, deputy commander of the Azov Regiment, stressed that the soldiers of the regiment will never surrender Mariupol to russian occupants but they need attention and help. Sviatoslav Palamar said that despite statements of politicians about regular contact, they have had no contact for over two weeks now.
