Adviser to the Head of the President's Office Mykhailo Podolyak commented on the detention of the leader of "Opposition Platform - For Life" [OPFL] Viktor Medvedchuk.
"Medvedchuk should hide in a Ukrainian prison to survive today. With a guaranteed long prison term. In russia he must be liquidated as a person who regularly lied about tendencies in Ukraine, stole money, and eventually became one of the initiators of the war,"- Mykhailo Podolyak wrote on his Twitter account.

On March 18, Lychakiv District Court in Lviv arrested Medvedchuk in absentia. He disappeared after a full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine. The People’s deputy from the OPFL and putin's godfather is suspected of treason, aiding and abetting terrorist organizations.

His wife left for Belarus on February 19. On February 27, the Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed that Medvedchuk had left in an unknown direction.
