British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and US President Joe Biden discussed boosting military and economic support to Ukraine, informs The Guardian.
According to their journalists, Downing Street made public the statement about the necessity to accelerate support to Ukraine because of the high possibility of even more aggressive attacks by russia in the east of the country.
Moreover, the statement also said about the importance of further ratcheting up the economic pressure on russian president vladimir putin, in particular, decisively to end Western reliance on russian oil and gas.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appealed to the EU asking to activate the oil embargo and impose sanctions on all banks of the rf with the next package of restrictions. Ukraine demands the exact deadlines for each country when it has to refuse or to decrease significantly the use of gas and oil from the occupiers’ country.
