The European People's Party (EPP), the biggest group in the European Parliament, demands the European Union to grant political protection to Ukraine. “This includes immediate candidate status. Ukraine has signed its membership of the EU with its blood - it’s our responsibility towards murdered Ukrainians to grant it,” - states EPP in Twitter.
This is EPP’s reaction to the words of head of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine Matti Maasikas. Maasikas said that Ukraine can become a candidate for EU membership in several weeks, maybe in June.
