Czech diplomats returned to Kyiv and hoisted the white-red-blue national flag of their country in front of the embassy building.
This was announced by the Czech MFA on Twitter.
“The Czech flag is flying again above the Czech Embassy in Kyiv. Our diplomats are back. This is one of the many steps we are taking to show our support for Ukraine. Czechia will always stand with Ukraine,” the message says.
Immediately after the new russian invasion on February 24, the Czech Republic evacuated its embassy staff from Kyiv. On April 9, Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs Jan Lipavský announced his plans to return to the Ukrainian capital.
On April 11, the EU diplomatic mission returned to Kyiv.
