The Center for Countering Disinformation [CCD] at the National Security and Defense Council [NSDC] of Ukraine has denied new fakes and manipulations by the head of the aggressor country Vladimir Putin. He voiced them on April 12 at the meeting with Alexander Lukashenko, who considers himself President of Belarus.

"Putin is successfully manipulating the Minsk agreements and changing the narrative essence of the "special operation" in Ukraine!" the CCD stressed.

Fake: "Ukrainian authorities have publicly refused to implement the Minsk agreements."

In fact: "On February 21, russia recognized the independence and sovereignty of the certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions [CADLR], and this was a direct violation of "Minsk" and meant the official withdrawal of russia from these agreements. Ukraine has declared only "non-functioning agreements," said in the Center for Counteracting Disinformation.

Fake: "russia recognized CADLR because it was impossible to watch the "genocide" of Donbas" anymore.

In fact: the CCD explains that it is a manipulation of the term "genocide", which "does not coincide with the real situation in Donbas. In the 8 years of war, this term has never been mentioned by v.putin or any, even pro-russian media."

Fake: "Ukraine's neo-Nazism threatened not only Donbas, but also russia, and the "special operation" was the right step."

In fact: "russia and Belarus have been conducting joint military "training" near our borders and have repeatedly denied that this is a preparation for war," stressed the Center for Countering Disinformation said.

President of the aggressor country Vladimir Putin declared that negotiations with Ukraine "went into a deadlock". Adviser to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak said that this was not the case: "Negotiations are extremely difficult, taking place online in working subgroups. But they are ongoing."

Earlier, russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov stated that the draft agreement with russia, submitted by Ukraine on the eve "has a departure from the provisions of the meeting in Istanbul." Mykhailo Podolyak stressed later that "we have not received such claims from the russian negotiators."
