In the Sumy region, the russian occupiers killed more than a hundred people.
The head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration (RMA) Dmytro Zhyvytskyy announced this at a briefing at the Media Center "Ukraine".
"Unfortunately, this number is increasing every day, because they find bodies - with their hands tied, with traces of torture, shot in the head, these are terrible things. Many people are missing, some people are in captivity - a team is negotiating about them. There are many citizens whose fate we do not know at all - on the roads, highways, and in the woods were found shot cars, and it is not known for sure what happened to people from these cars," the head of Sumy RMA said.
According to Dmytro Zhyvytskyy, the search for the missing continues. Meanwhile, there are many wounded in the region's hospitals, and many are being treated in medical institutions in neighboring regions.
On 8 April, Zhyvytskyy announced that the region had been liberated from russian invaders. However, it was dangerous to move along roadsides and use forest roads because the invaders had mined these territories.
Earlier in the Konotop district of the Sumy region they found three civilians tortured by russian aggressors.
