The attempt of taking the deputy of the Opposition Platform – for Life party Viktor Medvedchuk out of Ukraine was made with the involvement of the russian Federal Security Service (the FSB).
The FSB, in its turn, involved leaders of the criminal world of Ukraine and corrupted law enforcement officers, as the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine (the SBU) Ivan Bakanov informed live on TV channels.
Bakanov said that the complicated special operation of detention of the pro-russian politician lasted over one month. Analytical and undercover work of the special service led finally to detection of his location.
“Our opponent was a powerful enemy called the FSB which was striving to take putin’s daughter’s godfather out of the country. At that, russian special services involved leaders of the criminal world in Ukraine and corrupt law enforcement officers to implement the plan. The FSB tried to disguise the plans, allowed leak of information, tried to organize fake ways of Medvedchuk’s evacuation,” he said.
Russian special forces servicemen were leaking information that Medvedchuk was either in Zakarpattia, or in Switzerland, or somewhere else. To realize the plan of taking the politician out of the country, they have prepared fake-medvedchuks. Medvedchuk was captured on the way in the Kyiv region.
“Actually Medvedchuk, disguised as a military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and as if he were accompanied by his fellow colleagues, was evidently to be brought closer to the Ukrainian border. There he was to be sailed by boat to the so-called Prydnistrovya Moldova Republic where the evacuation group of the FSB special forces servicemen was waiting for them. They were to deliver Medvedchuk to Moscow. But thanks to the SBU this plan failed!” Ivan Bakanov added.
Yesterday, the Security Service of Ukraine detailed putin’s daughter’s godfather Viktor Medvedchuk. According to the LB.ua sources, Medvedchuk was going to escape. He was caught on the way.
Medvedchuk was under home arrest. On 21 February, several days before the full-scale attack of the rf on Ukraine, the property from the politician’s mansion was being removed. His wife left for belarus on 19 February. On 27 February, the Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed that Medvedchuk departed in an unknown direction.
On 18 March, Lychakivsky District Court of Lviv City, arrested in absentia Medvedchuk who disappeared after the full-scale invasion of russia in Ukraine. The people’s deputy from the Opposition Platform – for Life party and putin’s daughter’s godfather is suspected of treason and facilitation of activity of the terrorist organization.
