In the Luhansk region, Ukrainians killed by the occupiers are buried in courtyards, burying those killed by russia and the dead citizens. The morgues in the controlled cities are full of bodies of dead civilians.
This was announced by the head of the regional military-civil administration (RMA) Serhiy Gaidai.
"Electricity is interrupted or non-available. Bodies are also buried in basements. They cannot be stored, so during quiet breaks from shelling, volunteers and utilities bury bodies in new designated locations. All cemeteries are outside cities, burials are impossible”, - he wrote on Facebook.
Gaidai said that in Severodonetsk the military-civil administration organized a new burial place in a relatively safe place. Pits are dug with a tractor and graves are systematized in the register. Every dead or deceased person is buried naturally in a separate grave, during the 48 days of the war - about 400 burials. Most are identified.
A new burial place has also been organized in Lysychansk. The dead and deceased are buried in mass graves. The situation in Popasna and Rubizhne is difficult. Due to the partial occupation of cities by the russians, the removal of bodies is impossible, burials are carried out by the residents themselves in the yards of residential sectors.
"Because of the shelling, in certain areas bodies remain laying on the streets. Where there is an access - bodies are collected and transported to suburban cemeteries. They are buried in special packages with putting as much information about the person as possible on the plates, " said the head of the RMA. Serhiy added that the time will come, and "we will definitely do everything in a human way… Eternal memory".
To remind, for the last day russians fired at 12 residential houses in the Luhansk region, there are victims and wounded people.
As a result of night shelling on the outskirts of Severodonetsk and Gorsky in the Luhansk region, almost all communications were destroyed. Among other things, the russians used phosphorous shells. People stay without light, water and gas.
