14 April, the third exchange of prisoners of war with russia took place. Ukraine managed to return home 30 people, including 8 civilians, reports deputy prime minister - minister for reintegration of temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk.
“The fourth exchange of prisoners took place today on President Zelenskyy's order. Five officers and 17 enlisted rank servicemen were exchanged, 8 civilians, including 1 woman were also released. In total 30 Ukrainian citizens are coming home today,” said Vereshchuk.
1 April, 86 Ukrainian servicemen, including 15 females were released from captivity.
24 March, 19 sailors from Snake Island and 10 other servicemen returned to Ukraine. In return, Ukraine handed over 10 captured occupiers and 11 civilian russian sailors, whom Ukrainians rescued from a sunken ship near Odesa.
9 April, the third exchange of prisoners of war with russia took place, Ukraine returned 26 people home. Exchange included 12 of our servicemen, including one female officer and 14 civilians, including 9 women.
Before that, Ukraine exchanged the captured mayor of Melitopol for conscripts sent by russia to war.
