In the Kharkiv region, Ukrainian fighters keep pushing russian invaders back from the regional central city.

The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov reported that.

"As a result of the counteroffensive, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) freed Bazaliyivka, Lebyazhe, and the part of Kutuzivka. In the village Mala Rohan, our units advanced farther to the East… The UAF keep efficiently repelling the occupiers in other directions leading from Kharkiv," – Syniehubov mentioned.

According to him, in recent days, the 81st airmobile brigade destroyed 5 russian tanks, 10 armored vehicles, and around a hundred occupiers with multiple rocket launchers.

"All the enemy's attempts to occupy Kharkiv were and will be in vain and will only lead to more losses among the occupiers. The city is under the strong protection of the UAF, we've repeated more than once that we calculated all russians' scenarios. And we've prepared well for all of them," – the head of the Kharkiv region emphasized.

He called on the region's residents to be careful, not neglect alarm signals, and not stay outside without a valid reason.

Russian troops shelled the center of Kharkiv on 17 April. As a result, 5 people were killed. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine stated that 18 residential buildings of the region's central city had been damaged by the occupiers' shelling.
