On 18 April, the pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine found and neutralized 1,592 explosive devices and inspected an area of 511.71 hectares.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported on this.
"Most often, pyrotechnics worked in the following regions: the Kharkiv region - 2,795 times, Mykolaiv region - 1,222 times, Kyiv region - 988 times, Donetsk region - 304, Sumy region - 304," the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
Since the beginning of the invasion, Ukrainian specialists have defused 68,345 explosive devices and 417.4 kg of explosives, as well as 1,938 aircraft bombs. So far, they have managed to survey the area of 11,640 hectares.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs urged Ukrainians to call 101 or 102 to report a suspicious object or explosive.
The other day sappers surveyed a village in the Kyiv region, where they found dozens of shells, grenades, mines, and tripwires.
Recently, First Deputy Interior Minister Yevhen Yenin said that the Interior Ministry plans to "offer the government to initiate an increase in the number of explosives specialists to speed up the neutralization of all ammunition left as a result of russian aggression".
