According to official data, 217 children died in Ukraine due to Russia's armed aggression. More than 391 were injured.
This was reported in the Office of the Prosecutor General.
"These figures are not final because the work to confirm them continue in places of military activities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories," the Prosecutor`s General Office informed.
The number of suffered children is as follows:
Donetsk region - 127,
Kyiv region - 114,
Kharkiv region- 93,
Chernihiv region - 66,
Kherson region- 44,
Mykolaiv region- 43,
Luhansk region- 37,
Zaporizhya region - 27,
Sumy region- 17,
Kyiv region - 16,
Zhytomyr region- 15.
"On April 25, two children aged 9 and 13 died of their injuries as a result of the shelling by the Russian occupiers of residential buildings in Lyman, Donetsk region, " the Prosecutor General's Office added.
As a result of daily bombings and shelling of Ukrainian cities, 1 508 educational institutions were damaged. At the same time, 102 of them were completely destroyed.
To remind, in the Donetsk region on Easter two children died because of the attacks of Russians. And in Mariupol two young artists of the Concept Theater lost their lives.
