Russians resume searches, detentions in Mariupol, possibly preparing to storm Azovstal

In Mariupol, the occupiers resumed activity in the area of the park “Veselka”. They are searching and detaining people there, warned the Telegram channel of the Mariupol City Council.

"There is an intensive movement of military equipment. We ask Mariupol residents to be careful. Provocations are possible before the preparation of the next assault on Azovstal," the statement said.

Azovstal, despite constant bombings, continues to hold. At least 2,000 civilians, including children, are in the shelter at the plant, Andriy Biletsky, the founder of the Azov Regiment, told LB.ua. Besides them, there are Ukrainian defenders remaining at Azovstal. According to intelligence, russians may use chemical weapons against people at the Azovstal plant. According to the latest data, in order to avoid losses among the russian armed forces, the enemy may arrange for the so-called "smoking out" Ukrainian defenders and civilians from the enterprise.
