As of the morning of April 29, 219 children were killed and 398 wounded due to the russian aggression.
This was reported in the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine (OPGU).
"These numbers are not final, as work is underway to establish them in the areas of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories," the OPGU added.
According to OPGU, the most affected children were in the following Oblasts:
Donetsk - 139,
Kyiv - 115,
Kharkiv - 95,
Chernihiv - 68,
Kherson - 44,
Mykolaiv - 43,
Luhansk - 37,
Zaporozhye - 27,
Sumy - 17,
Zhytomyr - 15
And in Kyiv itself - 16.
Juvenile prosecutors became aware of new cases of death and injury of Ukrainian children:
in the first week of March on the highway near Krasne village, Chernihiv region, a car exploded on a mine, killing children aged 2 and 14.
On March 7, a 10-year-old boy got injured when the occupiers were shelling the Romaniv Bridge in Irpin.
On April 28 as a result of shelling by enemy troops a 10-year-old girl was injured in Tsyrkuny village, Kharkiv Oblast.
On April 28, 5 people, including a child, were injured in the shelling of Zaporizhia.
On April 11, a 9-year-old boy was injured due to shelling in Kharkiv.
On April 21, a 17-year-old boy was taken to a medical facility in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast with injuries he received when the occupiers shelled Mariupol.
"1,556 educational institutions were damaged as a result of daily bombings and shelling of Ukrainian cities and villages by the russian armed forces. At the same time, 102 of them were completely destroyed," - OPGU added.
In Rubizhne russians are kidnapping children and under threat of their execution, they are forcing their mothers to "spy". Meanwhile, in the Kherson Oblast, 58 orphans have been hiding in the basement of a local church for more than a month.
