Russian occupiers killed Alina Peregudova, 14-year-old weightlifter, and her mother in Mariupol.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports informed about this.

"At her age, the girl was already a candidate for the national team of Ukraine. She was a pupil of the Regional Specialized Children's and Youth Sports School of the Olympic Reserve in Weightlifting and a student of Donetsk Regional Specialized Professional College of Sports named after Serhiy Bubka. Last year Alina won gold medals at the U-17 National Championship for girls and dreamed of continuing to win the international championships…", - the Ministry informed.

The "russian world" broke into the house of the athlete with an enemy shell, the Ministry added.

"We regret to inform about this loss and express our sincere condolences to all those who knew these wonderful people... We will never forgive the occupier for the genocide of the Ukrainian people, the core of nation," the Ministry of Youth and Sports informed.

Maxim Kagal, the world champion on kickboxing, was lost in battles for Mariupol in the end of March.
