Over the past day, russian troops have shelled the cities of Luhansk region 10 times. Fighting is taking place in Orikhovo, the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Haidai, told Telegram.
"Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, Hirske, Privillya, Popasna were under enemy fire. Four times the russians fired on Lysychansk and twice on Popasna. It is almost constantly loud in the Heirske community," - he wrote.
There is damage to housing and farm buildings in each of these cities. The fire was extinguished in one garage complex for several hours.
On Wednesday, the enemy repeatedly tried to storm the Ukrainian Armed Forces' positions in Orikhovo and Svitlichny. Our military is repelling, but the russians are using all available weapons to fire on settlements, destroying buildings and infrastructure. It is no longer possible to restore water, electricity, and gas there.
Gaidai added that Ukrainian defenders repulsed nine enemy attacks at the front: six tanks, one artillery system, 12 armored vehicles, a car and an anti-aircraft gun, a plane, a cruise missile, and five drones were shot down.
Earlier, General Staf reported that the enemy is continuing offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone in order to establish complete control over the Donetsk and Luhansk regions and maintain a land corridor with the temporarily occupied Crimea.
