Due to the missile attack and the destruction of the Kremenchuk TPS (thermal power station) by the russian occupiers, 180,000 Kremenchuk residents may be left without heat and hot water in the next heating season.

The Poltava Region Military Administration (RMA) reports about it with reference to the chief of RMA, Dmytro Lunin.

"In two weeks, the rubble of the TPS will be dismantled, and we will be able to get the conclusions, but it is already clear that due to the damage done, about 180,000 residents may be left without heat and hot water for the next heating season," - said Dmytro Lunin on 28 April 2022 after visiting Kremenchuk to hold a meeting there.

He added that RMA plans to address the Office of the President, the Government, and international partners to help solve this problem.

"Currently, we are also considering building two new boiler houses to have more options for heat supply so that the whole city does not depend on one TPS. The region military administration will give a hand to the residents of Kremenchuk and allocate funds from the regional budget to pay for a part of the work," - he added.

On 24 April 2022, the russian occupiers once again shelled Kremenchuk.
