Ukraine has received another part of the grant funding worth 495m euros that was awarded by the World Bank Trust Fund, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine informed.
The grant has been received under the Second Economic Recovery Development Policy Loan to Ukraine.
This grant has been awarded to Ukraine under the first amendments to the Grant Agreement. According to it, the state budget has received funds from the USA (approximately 463m euros), Norway (approximately 20.5m euros) and Austria (approximately 10m euros).
“These funds will be directed to cover priority social, humanitarian, healthcare expenditures, support for internally displaced persons,” is stated in the message.
The Trust Fund is created by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Development Association. The contributions to it have been already made by Denmark, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Great Britain, Norway, Austria, and the USA.
The next grant funding from the USA worth 500m dollars is being prepared.
Earlier the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko signed the agreement with the World Bank on providing Ukraine grant funding worth 88.5m euros from the Trust Fund on the development policy for economic recovery.
