The russians illegally deported 181,000 Ukrainian children to russia or transported them to the temporarily occupied territories. This was announced during a briefing at the Media Center of Ukraine by Daria Gerasymchuk, the Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights and Children’s Rehabilitation.

In particular, 2,000 deported children are orphans or children deprived of parental care.

According to Gerasimchuk, russia is also preparing special amendments to the law that will simplify the process of adoption of illegally deported children by Russian citizens.

To return the abducted citizens, the Ukrainian government is developing a special mechanism.

“Recently, there have been two successful cases of the return of a girl Kira and a boy Elijah from the russian Federation. Similar special operations are planned for other cases that we have. But I cannot announce the details of these special operations and the whereabouts of the children on security issues,” Darya Gerasymchuk said.

We are reminding, that 219 Ukrainian children died and another 398 were injured during the russian aggression.
