The occupiers began storming the Azovstal plant in Mariupol.

Sviatoslav Palamar (Kalyna), deputy commander of the Azov Regiment, told Ukrayinska Pravda about this in a comment.

"We have been bombed all night, two civilian women have been killed and Azovstal is being stormed," he said.

According to Palamar, the occupiers are just now trying to break into the plant. Before the assault, Russian aircraft bombed the plant.

"We know that the president is being informed about the situation in Mariupol and he is keeping his finger on the pulse. That is why we expect drastic actions from him, as the situation is very difficult,” the military said.

It will be recalled that after the partial evacuation of civilians from the territory of Azovstal, the Russian occupiers fired on the territory of the Azovstal plant on May 2, where civilian and Ukrainian defenders are hiding.

On April 30, the occupiers allowed the first 20 people to be evacuated from the Azovstal plant in Mariupol, which sheltered hundreds of civilians and wounded soldiers. On May 1, Ukrainian authorities announced that more than 100 Ukrainians had been evacuated from the plant.

According to Mariupol Mayor Vadym Boychenko, out of 14 evacuation buses with Mariupol residents, only three reached the territory controlled by the Ukrainian government. The fate of the people in the remaining 11 is unknown.

According to Boychenko, a total of more than 100,000 residents remain in Mariupol, who are also awaiting evacuation. He added that more than 200 civilians are hiding at the Azovstal plant.
