Two people were wounded as a consequence of russian shelling of Lviv on May 3rd. Trains were delayed and the part of villages de-energized.
Informed on Ukraine Media Center briefing the head of Lviv Military Administration Maxym Kozyckyi.
"Anti-aircraft warfare detected six rockets, two of them were shot down, tree have hit Railway Power Converter Plants, one of them got through Lviv region to Zakarpattya region and hit there another Power Converter Plant. These rockets were intended to hit the logistic chain, including the supplies of humanitarian aid from west to the east of our country,” - said Kozycky.
According to Kozycky, two people have suffered russian shelling.
The Lviv’s mayor Andriy Sadovyi told about the victims.
"One of them is 58 years old person from Zakarpattya. They were hit in their chest with the shock wave against a wall which led to lung rupture. The victim had a surgery and their life is out of danger. The second victim is 24 year old. This person got their limbs wounded with shrapnel, a surgical treatment was done. Some shrapnel was removed, but another surgery is needed to remove the rest. Their life is out of danger, " - told Sadovyi.
Due to the shelling the trains were delayed.
"Concerning electricity, the shelling has demaged railway power converter plants. Our trains are currently delayed. However, we managed to partially restore the electricity. The delay is still there, but the current will be soon restored completely,” - added Kozycky.
He added that as for yesterday night, there were more than 85 thousands of households and more than 12 settlements without electricity, 5 other settlements were partly de-energized.
“It means that around 250 thousand people were cut from electricity. As of today, 630 households and around 2000 people still remain without electricity,” says Kozycky.
He informed that technicians of Lviv Railway and Lviv Oblenergo (regional energy production company) are working to liquidate the consequences of shelling. 130 firemen and 30 machines were brought to place to fight with the fire. Currently, the fire was distinguished on all the damaged objects.
“Talking about attacks that happened in Lviv, they led to serious consequences for our infrastructure. We had to connect two of our hospitals to emergency power sources. We had to connect our water supplying systems to emergency power source as well. Thanks God, we did everything on time and we can deliver the water to Lviv even without any electricity,” told Andriy Sadovyi.
At the moment, the infrastructure of Lviv was restored and is working as usual.
