Today [on 4 May – tr.] 344 people were evacuated from Mariupol through a humanitarian corridor, as the Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories.
"Those are women, children, elderly people from Mariupol, Manhush, Berdyansk, Tokmak, and Vasylivka. All of them have just arrived in Zaporizhzhya. Another of our small victories," – she said.
Vereshchuk thanked the UN and International Committee of the Red Cross staff as well as the workers of the humanitarian convoy: drivers and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine staff.
Minister emphasized that the humanitarian operation was still underway.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a talk with the UN's Secretary-General earlier today and asked him to facilitate the evacuation of injured people from the "Azovstal" plant.
