The russian occupiers are preparing a "parade" in Mariupol, as the city has been designated the center of "celebrations" on 9 May.
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reports about it.
"Sergei Kiriyenko, the first deputy head of the russian presidential administration responsible for russia's domestic policy, has arrived in ruined Mariupol. He has recently become the Kremlin's new curator of ORDLO [occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions] issues," Ukrainian intelligence officials said.
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kiriyenko's main task is to prepare for "ceremonial events" on 9 May.
"We know that the ruscists [from russian and fascist - tr.] refuse to celebrate a 'holiday' in occupied Donetsk and organize imitations of a 'military parade.' Currently, ORDLO is not carrying out any preparatory work on these matters," Ukrainian intelligence added.
The city of Mariupol has urgently been cleaned on the central streets of debris, the bodies of residents killed by invaders, as well as unexploded ordnance.
"A large-scale propaganda campaign is underway, during which russians will be shown stories about the "happiness" of locals from meeting with the occupiers. To prepare the relevant materials, ruscist propagandist Vladimir Solovyov and the head of the occupation administration of Donetsk Denis Pushylin visited Mariupol," the Defense Ministry said.
According to the Mayor of Mariupol, Vadym Boychenko, more than 20,000 civilians have already died from the hostilities of occupiers in the city.
Russian invaders use trucks in which they bring "humanitarian aid" to remove the bodies of the dead Mariupol.
