At the International Donors' Conference in Poland, the Ukrainian side managed to mobilize $ 6.5 billion to rebuild our country.

This was announced by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal in his Telegram channel.

“True friends of Ukraine gathered in Warsaw today! I thank the International Donors' Conference organizers: Polish Prime Ministers Mateusz Morawiecki and Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson. $ 6.5 billion mobilized! We appreciate the help of the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Parliament Charles Michel and all our partners," Schmygal emphasized.

He noted that Ukraine will not only rebuild the destroyed infrastructure due to Russia's military aggression, but "seeks to build a new European country."

"From green technologies to European construction standards. From agricultural processing to self-sufficiency in energy. From the development of the military-industrial complex to climate modernization. From the free European market to the latest modern urban spaces ... Everyone can help build their share of Dreamland - the future of Ukraine. This is why we’ve created the Fund for Reconstruction of Ukraine, " the Prime Minister added.

He reminded that earlier, together with President Volodymyr Zelensky, they called on European cities to help restore their Ukrainian counterparts.

"Great Britain has agreed to take care of the restoration of the Kyiv region. Denmark has taken Mykolaiv under its patronage. Greece is ready to help Odessa. It's a good start. Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, hundreds of towns and villages of Ukraine are also waiting for help. And I know for sure, they will get it." Shmygal emphasized.

Previously, at the International Donors' Conference for Ukraine in Warsaw, Prime Minister Sanna Marin said that Finland was going to send additional military equipment to Ukraine and provide another 70m euros in aid.

President Volodymyr Zelensky had stressed at the conference that Ukraine needs the status of a candidate for EU membership right now, in conditions of war. As part of the fast-track procedure for gaining EU membership.
