In Mariupol, more than 10,000 people could die from diseases, water, food, and medicine shortages. At least 20,000 citizens have died since the beginning of russian occupation.

"Today Mariupol is like one big grave... And the occupiers continue to imitate normal life. They started collecting applications for glazing. They promise people 500,000 rubles for damaged property and 3 mln rubles for the dead. But on the scale of Mariupol only these promises will cost them at least $ 2.5 bln. And the reconstruction of the city – at least another $ 12 bln. They have fake news, fake promises, and fake future. The revival of Mariupol is possible only under the Ukrainian flag," the city council emphasized.
The mayor's office added that Donetsk had just fallen into disrepair during the eight years of occupation.
"We should not expect that Mariupol will be able to restore Mariupol, a state in which villages farther than 50 km from Moscow live as in the 19th century – without water supply, sewerage and gas," is said in the statement.
The exact number of Mariupol residents killed and tortured by the russian occupation is unknown. It is impossible to count them now. People bury their relatives just in the courtyards of high-rise buildings. To cover the tracks of their atrocities, the russian military is burning the bodies of dead Ukrainians in crematoria and mass graves.
Ukrainian defenders remain at the Azovstal plant, most of them wounded. Guards, border guards, marines, scouts, and other defenders continue to fight the russians, who are shelling the territory of the enterprise with all kinds of weapons. The families of the defenders are asking Chinese leader Xi Jinping to influence russia and help with the extraction procedure so that the troops can be taken to a third country by the end of the war.
