The Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Lyudmila Denisova has released new data on children who suffered as a result of the war.

According to Denisova, since February 24, 652 children suffered as a result of the actions of the aggressor in Ukraine.

"As of 8:00 on May 17, 2022, according to the Universal Register of Pre-Trial Investigations, as well as other sources requiring confirmation, 229 children have been killed and 423 children injured since the invasion of the russian federation in Ukraine," Denisova wrote.

The Ombudsman stressed that it is impossible to establish the actual number of dead and wounded children because the occupation troops are conducting active combat operations in Ukrainian cities.

The day before, the Office of the Prosecutor General reported that since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, 229 children have been killed and 421 more have been injured.
