On May 12, russian occupiers began raids on the homes of local historians, collectors and antique shops.
This was reported in the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
"Everything that is of the least artistic or historical value is forcibly taken away. Information about the availability of collections is provided to them by so-called "civilian experts" from among the collaborators. They give a preliminary assessment of the value of the exhibits," the MID said.
The Intelligence says that according to witnesses, the representatives of the armed forces of the aggressor country, who were involved in the raids, do not look like ordinary servicemen.
"They are equipped with Western-style clothes, move on Toyota SUVs. However, they have russian-made weapons," the MID added.
The invaders are also taking the valuables
of Kherson museums and art collections of educational institutions to the temporarily occupied Crimea. For this purpose, they use small trucks accompanied by SUVs, and sometimes – by BBM "Tiger".
In Mariupol russians rob museums, and exhibits take to Donetsk for an assessment. And in March in Zaporizhzhia, the occupiers robbed a Museum-Reserve.
