President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron.
Zelenskyy wrote about this on his Twitter.
"I talked about the course of hostilities, the operation to rescue the military from Azovstal and the vision of the prospects of the negotiation process. Raised the issue of fuel supply to Ukraine," said the President.

In the conversation with the French leader, discussed defense support from this country, as well as possible ways to export Ukrainian agricultural products. Touched upon the preparation of the sixth package of sanctions against russia.
"We have substantively discussed the consideration of our application for EU candidate status," Zelenskyy added.
On May 16, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba began a visit to Brussels to promote the sixth package of EU sanctions.
Meanwhile, the EU has opened "solidarity corridors" to supply fuel to Ukraine.
