This was announced by the head of the regional military administration Serhiy Haidai.

“The russians tried to break into Sievierodonetsk at once from four directions but received a decent rebuff and retreated to their previous positions. However, artillery and mortar shelling of residential areas continued. Almost every controlled settlement was affected,” he texted in the Telegram channel.

Also, yesterday, several people were detained for photographing military equipment. They will be handled by the Security Service.

"An unsuccessful attempt by the russians to advance near Oskolonivka, Purdivka, Shchedryshcheve and Smolyaninove, the bridge was destroyed. People who photographed military equipment were detained in Sievierodonetsk," Haidai added.

Regarding the destruction of the housing stock: seven houses were damaged in Sievierodonetsk per day, and five in Lysychansk. Also, five - in Toshkivka and Nyrkovo. Four - in Vrubivka, three - in Hirske and Zolote, two - in Pryvillia.

Six civilians were killed in enemy shelling in the Luhansk region on Friday, May 20. The occupiers attacked the school and the Azot association in Sievierodonetsk, destroying about 50 houses in the region.
