President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on a petition for permission for men aged 18 to 60 to leave the country. He said he did not understand to whom the document was addressed.
The President stated this during a joint press conference with Andrzej Duda.
"I do not fully understand to whom this petition appeals, to me or, perhaps, to the parents of those soldiers who gave their lives for Ukraine? When today, between 50 and 100 people (die - Ed.) in the most challenging area in the east of our country," the President said.
Zelenskyy added that the law sets a deadline for consideration of the petition and a formal response to it, so the initiative will be taken into consideration "whether he likes it or not."
