Ankara is in talks with Moscow and Kyiv to open a corridor through Turkey for Ukrainian grain exports.

This was infromed by Reuters in relation to its own sources.

"Turkey is negotiating with both Russia and Ukraine on grain exports from Ukraine," the anonymous Turkish official said.

To remind, Russia is blocking Ukrainian ports that is why it is currently impossible to export 22 million tons of grain. According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, the problem that could provoke a food crisis around the world can be solved by military means, and therefore he urged the foreign partners to supply the necessary weapons to Ukraine.

The European Commission has decided to set up so-called "solidarity transport lines" to help Ukraine with export of its own agricultural products.

British intelligence said that despite attempts by the Ukrainian government and Western partners to find opportunities to create overland logistics routes to export grain from Ukraine, it would not help with exporting of all Ukrainian grain.

In April, exports of Ukrainian agricultural products by rail increased by 238%.
