Ukraine is approaching the point when the army will dominate the russian occupiers “technologically and with striking forces.”

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this in his video message.

“Every day we work to strengthen our protection. This is primarily the supply of weapons. Every day we approach the fact that our army will dominate the russian occupiers technologically and with striking forces. Of course, a lot depends on the partners. From their willingness to provide Ukraine with everything necessary to protect freedom. And I expect good news about this next week,” – the head of state said.

He said that the situation in the Donbas and the Kharkiv region is now complicated.

“The key directions of struggle at the front are, as before, Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, Bakhmut, Popasna and other cities where concentrate the russian offensive. But our defense holds. It's incredibly difficult. And I am grateful to all those who withstand this pressure from the occupiers,” – Zelenskyy stressed.

He mentioned the enemy shelling of Sumy and Mykolaiv and called on the world community to recognize russia as a terrorist state, the state as a sponsor of terrorism.

“It's just true. This is honestly, and it reflects the daily reality that the occupiers created in Ukraine and very much want to carry further to Europe. And this must be legally fixed,” – the President said.

Zelenskyy said that he will speak at the meeting of the European Council on May 30-31 about the terror of the russian federation against Ukraine and Europe.

The head of state also said that next week new appeals to the parliaments of European countries and “many other international activities aimed at strengthening our state and strengthening the joint pressure of the whole free world on russia.”

Zelenskyy also reacted to the restrictions by the occupiers on the departure of Ukrainians from the temporarily occupied districts of the Kherson region.

“Those who are confident in their position, such decisions would definitely not make. This is undoubtedly a manifestation of weakness. The manifestation is that they have nothing to give people. And people don't want to take anything from them. So they're trying to take people hostage. But Ukraine will return everything. Everything. And that's, surely. And it's just a matter of time. And every day this time, the release time, is reduced. We do everything for this,” – the President stressed.

Earlier, on May 28, Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a telephone conversation with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson; discussed strengthening the defense support of Ukraine.

The day before, the President confirmed his participation in the G20 summit in Bali in November.
