In Mariupol, a secondary school of I-III degrees № 65 has started. A small part of the school has been allocated for the provision of educational services, which houses 9 classes of 35-45 children of different ages in each.

This was announced by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmyla Denisova.

She clarified that teaching is carried out in russian and according to the russian program.

The school building was partially destroyed, the windows were broken. There is no stable power supply, it is provided by only one generator. At the same time, children are not provided with food.

The work of the school was partially restored by the efforts of parents of students. They were forced to cover the windows with film, remove garbage to create the illusion of order for children.

"The network is spreading information that a russian shell detonated on the territory of the school, on which a 12-year-old boy exploded," Denisova said.

She added that the school building is unsuitable for accepting students within its walls, and the resumption of its work could endanger the lives and health of children.

According to Denisova, the occupiers assure students that they will be able to obtain documents on the education of pseudo-state education in the CADR and offer to enter russian universities. However, they are in economically depressed regions and are not in demand by russian citizens.

Lyudmyla Denisova stressed that such actions of the occupiers are a violation of the articles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, as well as a violation of the duty to protect children affected by armed conflict.

She appealed to the UN Commission to Investigate Human Rights Violations during russia's military invasion of Ukraine to take into account these violations of children's rights in Ukraine by the russian federation.

In Mariupol, the russian occupiers opened a "children's center" in a room where there is no light and water, and food is prepared on the fire in the yard.
