There will be no lifting of sanctions on russia in exchange for unblocking Ukraine's grain exports, although russian lobbies are actively promoting the idea. Russia is deliberately creating a food crisis, as it has previously created an energy and migration crisis.

However, the lifting of sanctions would be an additional escalation of the conflict and would give russia a reason to understand that it can put pressure on crises. Mikhailo Podoliak, an adviser to the head of the President's Office and a member of the negotiating delegation with the russians, said this in an interview with LB.

"Migratory pressure on Europe due to the war in Ukraine, due to food shortages in certain countries – these are all elements of one technology of the russian federation. And solving the food crisis is very simple and effective. Grain convoys under the auspices of third countries and under the protection of third countries," he said.

The adviser to the head of the OP stressed that the issue of grain convoys is a matter of responsibility of countries, including NATO members.

"We're talking about security risks for the global system. Make a decision! Fine, you don't want to fight for us, we understand your Hollywood stature, but now go solve the issue of global security! Provide convoy, give ships, give destroyers. Carry grain, please, Ukraine does not mind. Or maybe Ukraine should completely destroy the Black Sea Squadron of the russian rederation? We can and will do it. In time, we will do it," Podoliak said.

An alternative to the Alliance for Ukraine is to create other military alliances that will truly ensure global security.

"The OSCE is not working [effectively] today, the UN is not working [effectively] today, NATO is not working today. We just need to call a spade a spade," he said.

It will be recalled that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that almost 90 ships are actually full of grain and ready to leave, but cannot do so due to the russian blockade of the Black and Azov Seas. The occupiers steal grain and take it out.

The United States has said it is not considering easing anti-russian sanctions in exchange for grain exports from Ukraine. At the same time, they do not plan to involve their military in grain exports from Ukraine.
