The European Union has agreed on anti-russian sanctions, which will be included in the sixth package of restrictions.

In particular, it was decided to ban more than 2/3 of russia's oil imports by sea, cutting off "a huge source of funding for its military machine."

Read in our news about what other restrictions are included.

Former US Ambassador to russia Michael McFaul said that the United States will provide Ukraine with long-range multiple rocket launchers, but they should not be able to fire deep into russia.

"The Biden administration's clarifying comments on the MLRS are rather encouraging," McFaul wrote on Twitter.

However, this is not certain, as the final decision has not yet been made. "MLRS is being considered, but there is nothing on the table with the possibility of long-range strikes," the statement said.
