Part of Severodonetsk is controlled by the occupiers. Our defenders remain in the city and repel the russian army, so it cannot move freely, announced on the morning of May 31 by the Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Haiday on the air of the telethon.

Now the russians are planning a military operation to clear the territories around Severodonetsk. They are sending about a battalion of soldiers who will go through the surrounding villages, such as Borivske or Sirotyne, brings the TOS-1A Solntsepyok [Sunburn, Heavy Flamethrower System] just to burn our military along with the civilian population - they don't care," he said.

At the same time, Haiday does not see the risk of encircling the city. As of now, there is still a possibility to leave for Lysychansk. Street fights continue in Severodonetsk. The city has about 15,000 civilians out of 120,000 who lived there before the full-scale aggression. Most of those who remained did not leave in principle.

The rest of the controlled territory is being shelled, but the enemy did not succeed in the direction of Zolote and Toshkivka. The Lysychansk-Bakhmut route is not controlled by the russians, but is under fire.

Yesterday russian troops entered the northeastern and southeastern suburbs of Severodonetsk. Before that, they captured the local hotel “Mir” ["Peace" - translator's note], located on the outskirts of the city. In the evening the enemy advanced deep into Severodonetsk.
