Iryna Vereshchuk, the Minister for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories of Ukraine, transferred her duties for the exchange of prisoners of war to the Ministry of Defense.

"I transfer my functionality with the exchange of prisoners of war to the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense. Relevant registers have been created, organizational issues have been worked out, communication channels have been established," - she wrote.
Vereshchuk added that further exchanges of prisoners of war are a joint work of the Main Intelligence Directorate and the Security Service of Ukraine.
The Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories remains responsible for maintaining the registers of prisoners of war and working with specialized international organizations.
Earlier, according to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, several thousand Ukrainians are in Russian captivity.
