Russian troops are continuing the offensive in the Eastern Operational Zone to establish full control over the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, ensure the stability of the land corridor between the Rostov region and Crimea, and block sea communications in the northwestern Black Sea.
Oleksandr Motuzyanyk, a spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, announced such tactical plans of the enemy at a briefing.
“To do this, the russian command has used all its strength and is trying to surround our troops in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The fighting has reached its maximum intensity. Russian occupation forces are firing along the entire line of combat and trying to hit deep into our defences,” he said.
Simultaneously, the assault is carried out in several directions. The fiercest battles are taking place in the Severodonetsk, Bakhmut and Kurakhiv areas.
The occupiers continue to fire on the border areas of the Chernihiv and Sumy regions. The terror of civilians in Mariupol continues. Over the past week, the occupiers have taken about 3,000 Ukrainians to the filtration camp in Bezimenne, more than 300 of them - children. 10% of unfiltered residents are arrested, interrogated and tortured.

In the Kharkiv direction, the occupiers are trying to prevent the advance of our troops to the state border.
In Slovyansk, the enemy regroups to resume the offensive in the Izyum-Barvinkove and Izyum-Slovyansk areas. Near the village Dovhenke and Kurulki defenders repel the assault.
In the Donetsk direction, the occupiers are trying to surround the defence units in the Lysychansk and Severodonetsk districts and block the main logistics routes.
The occupiers are consolidating in the area of the settlement of Lyman and are regrouping there.
In Severodonetsk, the enemy is storming Toshkivka and Ustynivka. Street fights are already underway in Severodonetsk.
In Bakhmut, the occupiers are planning an offensive on Komyshuvakha.
At Avdiivsky, Kurakhivsky and Novopavlovsky, the enemy fired in the direction of our positions.
The enemy fired artillery in the Zaporizhzhia direction. The fire was conducted in the area of Orikhove and Logivske, which is 40 and 60 km from Zaporizhzhia.
The South Buz direction is the main effort of the enemy to maintain the captured borders and bind the defence forces. The fire towards our positions continues.
“Volyn and Polissya areas. The situation as a whole has not changed significantly. Certain units of the Belarusian Armed Forces with up to seven battalions continue to perform tasks to strengthen the border in Gomel and Brest regions,” Motuzyanyk said.
Siversky direction - the enemy keeps units on the border in the Kursk and Bryansk regions. This is done to prevent the transfer of our troops to other threatening areas. In the same direction, the russians fired artillery at objects in the areas of Boyaro-Lezhachi, Manukhivka (Sumy region) and Yanzhulivka, Kamenska Sloboda (Chernihiv region).
The Black Sea and Azov Sea zones: enemy ships continue reconnaissance and fire support attempts. The enemy is blocking civilian shipping in the northwestern part of the Black Sea. There is already only one Caliber cruise missile carrier in the water area with a possible total volley of up to eight missiles. There used to be two ships. Probably, the enemy has now decided to shoot from bombers, not ships, Motuzyanyk noted.
From 24 February to 30 May, russia lost about 30,350 servicemen in Ukraine. Last night, the enemy suffered the greatest losses in the Zaporizhzhia direction.
