Russian bulk carrier Matros Pozynich arrived in Syria with a significant amount of grain, possibly stolen from Ukraine.

This was reported by CNN.

“New satellite images show that a Russian cargo ship full of grain allegedly stolen from Ukrainian farms has arrived in the Syrian port of Latakia - its second voyage in four weeks,” the statement said.

The bulker was captured on satellite images by Maxar Technologies in Latakia on 27 May.

It is noted, that this is one of the three ships that have been carrying grain in Sevastopol since the russian invasion of Ukraine. He was last seen in Sevastopol on 19 May and was later tracked as he passed through the Bosphorus Strait and south along the Turkish coast. It is estimated that the ship can carry about 30 thousand tons of grain.

According to the Ukrainian intelligence, russia can export the stolen grain from Ukraine through the Mediterranean Sea to Syria, and from there the cargo can be smuggled to other countries in the Middle East.

In late April, Minister of Agrarian Policy Taras Vysotsky said that russia had stolen “several hundred thousand tons” of grain in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. According to him, there were 1.5 million tons of grain in the occupied territories. He expressed fears that most of this grain could be stolen by the russians.

Earlier it was reported that russian invaders are massively exporting grain from the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region.
