The Lithuanian broadcaster Lasives TV announced the collection of donations for the purchase of Bayraktar for Ukrainians in May. The Lithuanians raised the required amount - about 5 million euros - in just three days. The purchase of the drone is organized by the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense.
Bayraktar T2 is a Turkish strike operational-tactical medium-altitude drone with a long flight duration. It can carry anti-tank missiles and air bombs.
The designer of the drone, the co-head of the Istanbul company "Baykar" Selchuk Bayraktar, recently said that due to the Ukrainian experience, the number of new orders has increased significantly.
The successful destruction of russian artillery systems and armored vehicles with the help of Bayraktar TB2 made "the whole world" a customer.
