Parliament has dismissed Ivan Bakanov as chief of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) with 265 votes, Voice faction MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak has told LB.ua.
Ex-President Petro Poroshenko's European Solidarity and the Voice did not support the decision.
The appointment of a new SBU chief is not on the agenda yet.
Yesterday, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Vasyl Malyuk as SBU acting chief. Earlier, Zelenskyy suspended Bakanov and Prosecutor-General Iryna Venediktova over multiple instances of their employees' collaboration with the russians.
