A long curfew may be imposed in Mykolayiv in order to conduct an operation to find traitors and collaborators, Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolayiv regional military administration, said in an interview with Khodorkovsky LIVE.
"There are people who have been here for a long time, with an idea. There are people who are desperate or don't think about the consequences or decided to make money. These are isolated cases, but every such case entails potential victims when they start to track the military, air defence or something else. We want to put a full stop to this. We still have some curfew-related events and drills planned. We'll shut down the city for a few days, go door-to-door and process those bad people," Kim said.
He added that many industrial enterprises have been destroyed in the city, but Russia does not have enough missiles to destroy Mykolaiv.
Out of 480,000 residents of Mykolayiv, about 230,000 remain in the city, according to the authorities' estimates. Most of them are pensioners who say they do not know where to go and are afraid of change.
