The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has neutralized more than 60 collaborators and traitors in Ukraine's eastern regions and seized coordinates of russian strategic targets from them. A total of over 700 coordinates have been collected and handed over to the Armed Forces.
These are the coordinates of command posts, accumulation of personnel, heavy weapons and warehouses with invaders, the special service stressed.
The SBU also discovered saboteurs who had previously worked in law-enforcement agencies and now undertook to "leak" important information to the russians.
"The attackers collected intelligence on the location of Ukrainian troops and strategically important critical infrastructure facilities in the region. In order to obtain the relevant information, they carried out visual surveillance, used photo and video recording means, as well as received information through personal connections," the security service said.
Having obtained such intelligence, the russian occupiers used it for massive rocket and artillery attacks on Kharkiv Region.
Additionally, the perpetrators were engaged in preparations for sabotage, including explosions on the territory of Kharkiv.
The saboteurs were detained while handing over classified information from the front-line territory to the russians. They are being held in custody.
The SBU has also discovered enemy arms caches of military materiel.
"Rocket anti-tank grenades, automatic weapons, sniper rifles and MON-90 anti-personnel mines were seized from the caches. The found arsenal was planned to be used by russian saboteurs to commit sabotage in the border regions of Kharkiv Region," the SBU added.
