Ukraine can sit at the negotiating table with Russia if the aggressor country withdraws its troops from the illegally occupied territory, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said, as quoted by Suspilne.
He voiced this opinion following the talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
The trilateral meeting took place in Lviv and involved the Ukrainian and Turkish presidents and the UN secretary-general.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan said after the talks that his interlocutors agreed that the war must end at the negotiating table. He added that Turkey was ready to become a mediator.
Erdogan also added that it is possible to resume talks between the two states along the parameters of the March talks in Istanbul.
